IRAN - Razi Chemical Complex.Located at Bandar Imam Bandar Imam Khomeini (Persian بندرامام خمینی) is a port city on the Persian Gulf in Khuzestan province, Iran. Before the 1979 Iranian Revolution, it was known as Bandar Shahpur. (Khomeini) and originally a JV between NPC 1. (complexity) NPC - NP-complete. 2. (architecture) NPC - Next Program Counter. (67%) and Allied Chemical (33%), the Razi Petrochemical Co. became a fully-owned NPC subsidiary on Jan. 1, 1973. The plant came on stream in 1970 and was expanded in 1974. Its seven units can produce the following (design capacities in '000 t/y): - Sulphur 610 - Ammonia 660 - Urea 726 - Ammonium phosphate 217 - Sulphuric acid 1,069 - Phosphoric acid 264 - Ammonium monophosphate 185 The complex was damaged during the war with Iraq. It resumed operations in 1989, when it exported 260,000 tons of sulphur and 72,000 tons of ammonia. In March 1991 a 250,000 t/y diammonium phosphate Diammonium phosphate (DAP) (chemical formula (NH4)2HPO4 ) is one of a series of water-soluble ammonium phosphate salts which can be produced when ammonia reacts with phosphoric acid. DAP is used as a fertilizer and a fire retardant. (DAP) plant started up near the complex to supply Razi with ammonia, phosphoric acid phosphoric acid, any one of three chemical compounds made up of phosphorus, oxygen, and hydrogen (see acids and bases). The most common, orthophosphoric acid, H3PO4, is usually simply called phosphoric acid. and sulphuric acid. |
