IPL ANNOUNCES VICE PRESIDENTS OF U.S. SALES AND VICE PRESIDENT OF OEM SALES.

MAYNARD, MASS.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 1995--IPL SYSTEMS, INC. (NASDAQ/NMS:IPLSA) today announced the appointment of David J. Boyle as co-vice president of U.S. sales, and the promotion of Ross W. Lashway from director of eastern region sales to Mr. Boyle's counterpart as co-vice president of U.S. sales. Charles A. Foley, who has led the company's U. S. sales effort for the past two years, has been named to the new position of worldwide vice president of OEM sales.

Commenting on the appointment and promotions, Greg R. Grodhaus, IPL CEO and president, said, "IPL has recently expanded into the open systems business, and in the process has realigned our U.S. sales organization to cover outside sales, inside telesales, STorage Authorized (STAR) reseller distribution and OEM channels. Mr. Boyle's previous experience includes several years in management, sales and marketing in the computer storage business. Prior to joining IPL, Mr. Boyle spent seven years with EMC Corporation, where his accomplishments included top performance as a sales executive, senior level product management in the midrange storage division, and awards as one of EMC's top district sales managers in 1993 and 1994.
