IPC opens China office.

IPC has appointed two employees to oversee the IPC Shanghai office. Fred Qian will serve as IPC's director of membership and marketing.

Other missions of the IPC Shanghai office include: the formation of IPC certification programs in key electronic centers in China; the promotion of the development of IPC Shanghai and standards; the organization of an electronics assembly trade show in China in 2003 and subsequent years; and the development of a Chinese Web site for the exchange of information to facilitate an understanding of IPC standards and support.
