IPC Information Systems Inc. is showcasing a prototype Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) trading system capable of making calls directly from an IPC VoIP trading desktop to any other VoIP device - at the Securities Industry Association (SIA) Technology Management Conference & Exhibit. In addition, IPC is offering visitors a showcase of IP-based solutions from Microsoft, Cisco Systems and Radianz that are made feasible by IPC's exclusive end-to-end native IP architecture.

paradigm of laptop mobility to the voice trading desktop.

Users can connect in seconds to their trading counterparties

from any available turret in any physical location.

-- Find Me, Follow Me: IPC is applying the "find me, follow me"

model to the voice trading desktop meaning that traders need

not be tied to a physical location in order to make and

receive calls on a trading desktop. Traders can log into at

any trading desktop in any location connected to the local or

wide-area network and enjoy the same level of connectivity as

is available at the trader's base location.

-- Cost Savings: Trading desktops with native SIP or H.323

intelligence can take advantage of underutilized bandwidth on

the IP LAN/WAN and establish point-to-point voice connections

over the IP network on demand. Improving the efficiency of the

network with virtual voice connections over IP can result in

significant cost savings in the private wire infrastructure.
