INVESTools and Phillips Investment Resources form strategic partnership for online expansion.

 last week entered into a definitive Letter of Intent with INVESTools Inc., a leading provider of investment education. As part of the agreement, INVESTools is selling its list of approximately 240,000 "INVESTools Advisory" customers to Phillips in exchange for the right to market investor workshops to Phillips' online investor lists for a period of three years. INVESTools will continue to serve subscribers of its paid investment newsletter products.

Its Financial Education business line presents seminars, workshops, and self-directed audio-visual programs. More than 400,000 investors have attended seminars in 80 U.S. and 47 international cities.

Its Business Services division leverages INVESTools' technology platform and expertise to provide private-label and co-branded versions of its products and services to businesses in the financial and publishing industries.
