TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Game and Fresh Water

Fish Commission investigators have filed 262 charges against seven adults and one juvenile in an eight-month probe dubbed "Operation Zebra." The commission also has seized four vehicles, two airboats, one airplane, three rifles and a six-point deer mount in the case.
Wildlife Investigator Robert Stanley, head of the investigation, has turned the case over to Volusia County State Attorney John Tanner for prosecution. Stanley, who was assisted in the case by Wildlife Inspector John Moran, identified the adults in the case as: Jeffery Russell, age unknown, and Jacquelyn Kay Russell, 31, both of 1000 Maytown Road., Osteen; Charles Dwayne Clifton, 22, also of 1000 Maytown Road., Osteen; Patricia Hope Franks, 29, of 241 Railroad Ave., Osteen; Vickie Fusco, age and address unknown; Robert Cheek Gilfillan, 49, of 3812 E. Highway 46, Geneva, Fla.; and Terry N. Myers, 23, of 6055 Lake Ave., Sanford. The juvenile is from Osteen.
The investigator said the focus of the investigation was the Russell Alligator Farm at Osteen. He developed a lead that individuals associated with the alligator farm in 1991 had been conducting large scale operations of illegal deer hunting, alligator hunting and collection of alligator eggs from the wild.
One subject also is accused of dealing in stolen exotic birds, illegal importation of alligators and other wildlife-related violations.
Two of the suspects, Jeffery and Jacquelyn Russell, are jailed without bond; the other five are being held on bonds totaling $33,000. The juvenile has been served with a notice to appear in court.
Stanley said additional charges are pending.
