INTEROP: SMDS USERS GROUP SCHEDULED TO MEET IN CONJUNCTION WITH COMNET 93

 MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The recently formed SMDS Users Group will meet during ComNet in Washington D.C., Feb. 2, 1993 in conjunction with the SMDS Interest Group (SIG) plenary meeting during ComNet 93, Interop said today.
 Sixteen interested SMDS users attended the initial SMDS Users Group meeting held in conjunction with the SIG meeting during INTEROP 92 Fall in San Francisco. At that meeting, Jim McCabe of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration was named to head the SMDS Users Group.
 According to McCabe, "The Washington meeting of the SMDS Users Group is open to any user who wishes to participate in group discussions regarding the implementation of SMDS services and applications in today's data networks."
 Any user interested in attending this meeting or in joining the SMDS Users Group should contact the SMDS Hotline, 415-962-2590, or Jim McCabe, 415-604-4425. McCabe can also be reached by electronic mail at "owner-smds-users@nas.nasa.gov."
 All users, or potential users, of SMDS services are also invited to join the SMDS Interest Group session. The SIG will meet the morning of Feb. 2 and the Users Group meeting will follow in the afternoon.
