INTERNATIONAL TOTALIZATOR SYSTEMS SIGNS AGREEMENT TO SUPPLY AND MANAGE A SPORTS BETTING POOL IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

 CARLSBAD, Calif., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- International Totalizator Systems, Inc.(R) (NASDAQ: ITSI) today announced it has completed a service agreement between ITS Service Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, and Data Deportiva Instantanea, S.A., a company in the Dominican Republic. Data Deportiva Instantanea is licensed to operate a sports betting pool primarily for baseball and basketball through its affiliate, Pronosticos Deportivos, which currently operates a sports betting pool through a network of manual agents.
 The agreement calls for ITS Service Corp. to provide, install and manage a pari-mutuel network including a central computer system and 350 DATAMARK(R) 9 terminals and two management personnel. The system is scheduled to become operational in 90 days and will be configured to accommodate up to 1,500 DATAMARK terminals.
 Once the system is operational, a fund will be created from the first 7 percent of gross receipts for expansion of the system and to repay the company for its initial investment in the 350 terminals it provided. In addition, ITS Service Corp. will receive a weekly return of 3 percent of the gross receipts for the first five years of the agreement. The return decreases to 2-1/2 percent between years six through 10 followed by a return of 2 percent for the remaining years of the agreement.
 International Totalizator Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures, sells, supports and services computerized ticket issuing systems and terminals for the global pari-mutuel wagering, on-line lottery and automated travel ticket printing industries.
