INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORP. AWARDED USACE REMEDIAL ACTION CONTRACT
 TORRANCE, Calif., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- International Technology Corp. (IT) (NYSE: ITX) announced today the award of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contract. This contract provides for remedial action cleanup projects for Department of Defense (DOD) sites and Superfund (CERCLA) projects within the Tulsa district, which includes Oklahoma, and specific counties within Kansas and Texas. The award has an estimated value of up to $20 million in the initial year with four option years, each valued at a maximum of $20 million. Work is expected to begin in June 1992.
 The scope of work will involve a wide range of environmental support and technical expertise. Implementation of remedial action projects may include: underground storage tank removal, landfill capping and closure, groundwater treatment, soil excavation and building decontamination.
