INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORP. AWARDED TIMES BEACH THERMAL REMEDIATION
 PROJECT BY EBASCO
 TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- International Technology Corp. (IT) (NYSE: ITX) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Ebasco Services Inc. to perform the thermal remediation activities on the Times Beach, Mo., Superfund site. The project involves operation of one of IT's Hybrid Thermal Treatment System(R) (HTTS(R)) units to process approximately 130,000 tons of dioxin- contaminated materials from the Times Beach site and the 26 other eastern Missouri dioxin sites. Preparatory work is expected to begin immediately. Treatment will begin after obtaining necessary government approval.
 "Our prior remedial engineering work on the Times Beach site and leading thermal remediation capabilities were significant factors in obtaining this contract," said Robert B. Sheh, president and chief executive officer. "This project will further enhance IT's broad capabilities and technology relating to dioxin contaminants.
