 OF MICHAEL N. HAMMES TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- International Technology Corp. (IT) (NYSE: ITX) announced today the appointment of Michael N. Hammes to the board of directors.
 Hammes is executive vice president of the Black and Decker Corp. and president of the corporation's $2.5 billion Power Tools and Home Improvement Group. Prior to assuming this position in January 1991, Hammes had been executive vice president and president of the Power Tool Group. He joined Black and Decker in May 1990.
 Hammes joined Black and Decker from Chrysler Corp., where he had been vice president of international operations since 1986. He held various positions for Ford Motor Corp. beginning in the 1970s.
 Hammes holds a bachelor of science degree in international economics and foreign trade from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a master of business administration in finance from New York University. He is a member of the development board of the College of Business of Eastern Michigan University.
