INTERNATIONAL MOVIE GROUP REPORTS FIRST QUARTER RESULTS

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17 ~PRNewswire~ -- International Movie Group (AMEX: IMV) today reported results for the first quarter ended Sept. 30, 1992.
Revenue for the quarter increased 82 percent to $2,041,000 vs. $1,123,000 for the same period the previous year. Net income was $32,000 as compared to a net loss of ($259,000), resulting in a book value of $1.48 per share as of Sept. 30, 1992.
"The large improvement in net income this quarter is primarily due to the completion of 'Tattle Tale,' one of our co-financed projects with Canal Plus," said Peter E. Strauss, chairman and chief executive officer. "The industry has been very receptive to these titles and we are looking forward to our second quarter when we will be recognizing sales completed at the MIFED film market in Milan and those related to the delivery of 'Face the Music,' another film which is co-financed by Canal Plus. We did very well at MIFED and anticipate continued success in selling our new pictures in the remaining unexploited markets."
Headquartered in Los Angels, International Movie Group, through its wholly owned subsidiary, The Movie Group Inc., specializes in the distribution of English language motion pictures to some 52 countries. The company has distributed to date 34 motion pictures.
