INTERNATIONAL FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT EXTENDS TENDER OFFER FOR NOSTALGIA NETWORK TO JAN. 12, 1994

 VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Nostalgia Acquisition Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of International Family Entertainment Inc. ("IFE") (NYSE: FAM), announced today that it is extending the expiration date of its tender offer for all outstanding shares of common stock of The Nostalgia Network Inc. ("Nostalgia") (OTC: NNETC) for $2 per share in cash and all outstanding shares of preferred stock of Nostalgia for $200 per share in cash to 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1994, at which time the offer and withdrawal rights will expire, unless further extended.
 The Depositary for the offer has informed IFE that as of the close of business on Jan. 5, 1994, approximately 5,655,901 common shares and no preferred shares had been tendered pursuant to the offer. The tender offer remains subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Offer to Purchase dated Nov. 24, 1993, and the related letters of transmittal.
 International Family Entertainment Inc. owns and operates The Family Channel, one of the nation's largest advertiser-supported basic cable television networks. Currently reaching over 57 million subscribers, or approximately 94 percent of all cable households, The Family Channel provides high-quality entertainment programming and related products that emphasize traditional values and can be enjoyed by the entire family.
 IFE also owns MTM Entertainment Inc. which is engaged in the development, production, and distribution of television series and other programs.
