INTERNATIONAL FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT ENTERS INTO AN AGREEMENT TO ACQUIRE A MAJORITY STAKE IN DIGITAL CELLULAR TELEPHONE COMPANY.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 1995--M.G. "Pat" Robertson, chairman of International Family Entertainment, Inc. ("IFE") (NYSE: FAM), today announced that IFE's subsidiary, Mobilink Partners, Inc., has signed a stock purchase agreement with Motorola International Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Motorola, Inc., to purchase its majority interest in Pakistan Mobile Communications Ltd. ("PMCL"). Launched in August 1994, PMCL has a nationwide license to operate Pakistan's first GSM digital cellular telephone system. In addition to this cellular telephone system, which is operational, PMCL also has a license to operate a nationwide paging system. IFE's partner in the operation of PMCL is a local company with investments in a wide range of industries. The purchase price for Motorola's stake and other terms of the proposed sale, the closing of which is subject to a number of conditions, were not disclosed.
