INTERNATIONAL FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT/BRITISH SKY BROADCASTING LIMITED AGREEMENT ANNOUNCED

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- An agreement between International Family Entertainment, Inc. (IFE) (NYSE: FAM), and British Sky Broadcasting Limited (BSkyB) has been announced, keeping IFE on target for a launch of a U.K. Family Channel later this year.
The network will be distributed via an Astra 1C transponder as part of the BSkyB package that will be delivered direct to home (DTH). Initially, it will be available to approximately 3 million homes with DTH capabilities in a market of 22 million U.K. households.
Earlier this month IFE was granted approval by the Independent Television Commission (ITC) of a license for a Family Channel in the United Kingdom.
These two developments, IFE officials pointed out, open the way to bring a unique blend of quality television entertainment to British viewers.
