INTERMEDIA COMMUNICATIONS TO PROVIDE FRAME RELAY LINK FOR RED ROOF INNS, INC.; Intermedia Data Network to Include Over 240 Red Roof Inn Locations.

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 22, 1996--Intermedia Communications of Florida, Inc. (ICI - Nasdaq/NM:ICIX), a provider of integrated telecommunications services, today announced an agreement with Columbus, Ohio-based Red Roof Inns, Inc. to provide frame relay telecommunications service for over 240 Red Roof locations.

Intermedia will have 240 Red Roof Inn locations on-line and operational by June 1, under the initial contract valued at approximately $3.5 million. In addition, Red Roof Inns expects to add more locations throughout 1996 and has significant plans for future expansion. The five-year contract also includes the provision of Internet access for Red Roof Inns' Columbus headquarters.

We committed to an aggressive installation schedule and will be fully operational by June 1 as planned."
