INTERGRAPH UNVEILS 3D INTERFACE, INTEROPERABILITY FRAMEWORK AND SPACE-SAVING COMPUTING DISPLAYS FOR SHIPS.

Intergraph Government Solutions, a division of Intergraph Corporation (NASDAQ:INGR), unveiled recently new software and hardware solutions to improve large ship management and operations. Intergraph's showcase includes an interactive 3D-driven ship demonstration model - which provides a visual ship representation that users can query for deck, compartment and equipment information - and space-saving ruggedized displays that meet the stringent environmental and survivability requirements of shipboard use. Sea Air Space Exposition attendees can see Intergraph's new technology at booth 3411.

Intergraph is demonstrating its 3D ship interoperability solution through a virtual tour of a Torpedo Weapon Retriever (TWR) ship, which the U.S. Navy uses to locate and recover torpedo drones. The 120-foot TWR has been selected to provide the test data for Intergraph's demonstration model in conjunction with the National Shipbuilding Research Program, of which Intergraph is an active participant. Through a single Web-based interface, users can perform graphical or text-based queries to find integrated ship component information and associated documentation, and limit searches to specific components and spatial areas of the ship. The framework supports mission readiness and familiarity training and allows users to interoperate with existing ship information repository, enterprise resource planning interface and integrated product data environment legacy data systems.

Intergraph is also exhibiting its suite of ruggedized shipboard hardware solutions, including new single- and dual-screen pedestal consoles, a bulkhead console and wall-mounted displays. The hardware features the industry's first 24-inch viewable HDTV-ready WUXGA LCD display, shock-tested flat panel monitors and a compact, low-profile design for maximum viewing in cramped spaces. Single-screen consoles are uniquely suited for use on ship bridges, while dual-screen displays, which allow users to view unique applications such as shipboard radar and electronic charting simultaneously, are ideal for combat situations. All displays support multiple remote computing platforms - such as Intel- and AMD-based computers - and operating systems such as UNIX, Linux, Solaris and Microsoft Windows NT or Windows 2000. Intergraph has more than 800 ruggedized computer solutions installed on 90 Navy vessels.
