INTERFAITH PANEL TO HONOR KING 14TH ANNUAL MULTICULTURAL CEREMONY HAS THEME, `CELEBRATING DIVERSITY'.

SANTA CLARITA -- The Santa Clarita Interfaith Council will celebrate the birth of Martin Luther King Jr. in a multicultural ceremony on Monday in Newhall.

This 14th annual observance, co-sponsored by Santa Clarita's Human Relations Forum, will be held from 3to 5p.m. in the Hart High School Hart High School may refer to:
  • Hart High School — Newhall, California
  • Hart High School — Hart, Michigan
  • Hart County High School — Munfordville, Kentucky
  • Hart County High School — Hartwell, Georgia
 auditorium, 24825 N. Newhall Ave.

With the theme ``Celebrating Diversity,'' the program will begin with a reception that will include a bread sampling from Sri Lanka, India, Kazakhstan, China and Israel. Also, a Buddhist monk will serve tea.

``This is a youth- and family-oriented program,'' said Veeann Hegreberg, a member of the planning committee for the event.

``We are inviting guests to dress in traditional ethnic clothes to help create a joyous atmosphere.''
