INTERDIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVES FIRST PURCHASE ORDER FROM COLOMBIA
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- InterDigital Communications Corporation (AMEX: IDC) announced today that it has received its first purchase order from Telecartagena, an affiliate of Telecom Colombia, the Colombian National Telephone Company. The order is for one UltraPhone(R) Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) digital wireless radiotelephone system, valued at more than $1 million. The system will serve a large number of people in the Mamonal Region of Cartagena, including residents in the Islas del Rosario and Baru. InterDigital's account executive for Colombia, Cathy Cruver, said, "We are pleased to add Colombia to the expanding list of countries served by the UltraPhone. With this order, InterDigital opens new markets in South America. We look forward to working closely with Telecartagena and Telecom Colombia on this very important project."
