INTERACTIVE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES PATENT APPLICATION ALLOWANCE

INTERACTIVE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES PATENT APPLICATION ALLOWANCE
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- In a surprise announcement today, Interactive Media Technologies Inc. (IMT) (NASDAQ: IMTX) said that it has been informed by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of a Notice of Allowance for the patent application pending describing its proprietary technology. The allowance is the last step in the patent approval process.
"This affirms that our technology is an innovative approach, and that it is uniquely ours," said R. Glenn Williamson, a very happy chairman. The bus architecture allows the scalable, modular approach to solving the complex problem of bringing together device control with video and audio signal routing. The video and audio pipeline concept, which makes the bus architecture of the IMTX 8000(TM) a unique approach, is protected in all implementations for current and derivative products.
Newly appointed president Allan Ayars said, from the MacWorld trade show in San Francisco, "Our current market position is strengthened by ensuring that our customers can count on us to further exploit our unique approach. The future of this new technology will solve application problems for desktop video, and could even address challenges in serving consumer electronics markets."
IMT has been awaiting approval on the patent application with the intent of exploiting both new product development and technology licensing. The company will release more details soon.
The IMTX 8000(TM), a U.S.-designed multimedia integration system, is a combination hardware and software product which radically reduces the complexity and cost of choreographing and delivering audio and video for presentation, business and educational purposes.
Interactive Media Technologies is a full spectrum communication company specializing in computer-controlled interactive video products, which includes proprietary hardware and software systems.
