 INTENDED APPOINTMENT TO EXECUTIVE BOARDS
 OF ING GROUP AND NMB POSTBANK GROUP
 THE HAGUE, the Netherlands, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of Internationale Nederlanden Group intends to appoint C. Maas as a member of the executive board of Internationale Nederlanden Groep N.V. as of July 1.
 After consultation with the board of directors of the NMB Postbank Group, a proposal will also be made to the general meeting of shareholders of the NMB Postbank Group on May 11, to appoint Maas as a member of the executive board of the NMB Postbank Group as of July 1.
 Maas is currently treasurer general of the Ministry of Finance in the Netherlands. Since September 1986, he has been a member of the boards of directors of the NMB Bank, and subsequently the NMB Postbank Group and Internationale Nederlanden Group.
 The staff councils involved have been asked to give their advice on the proposed appointments.
 The general meeting of shareholders of Internationale Nederlanden Group, to be held on May 13, will be notified of the intended appointment to the executive board of Internationale Nederlanden Group.
