INTEL LOOKS TO E-COMMERCE GROWTH IN INDIA.


Intel Corp's venture capital fund has short-listed six software firms in India for possible equity participation. "We are not interested in taking control of these firms. We look at them as mere investments with the objective of helping the company grow," said Davies. Intel has already invested in one Indian firm, Rediff-on-the-Net. Last year the Intel fund had invested $300m in various technology firms across the globe.
