(W&G) announced on September 6 that it has opened Bio Hyakka (http://www.biohyakka.com/), a website for searching information on reagents for biological researches, on a trial basis. The site accepts search words in either Japanese or English, and the search service is free. Users can search the latest and detailed information on over 500,000 reagents currently available in Japan. The information including inventory status is updated once a day. W&G plans to add information on research literature, study cases and research-related devices to the service. The company is registering products from Cosmo Bio, Daiichi Pure Chemicals and Funakoshi. Plans call for having about 10 firms register their products and providing the search service to 50,000-70,000 people.
