INMATE CHARGED IN SLAYING OF COUPLE.Byline: Phillip W. Gregory Douglas Miner, 28, was charged with two counts of murder, with special allegations of committing a murder during a robbery, rape and arson - charges that could lead to the death penalty. Miner had been convicted of burglary in 2001 and was scheduled to be released from Avenal State Prison Avenal State Prison (ASP) is a state prison in California, USA.
