INJURED IMMIGRANTS RECOVERING : HOSPITAL RELEASES 1 SURVIVOR OF CRASH THAT KILLED 7.

Several of the presumed illegal immigrants injured in a fatal pickup truck crash near a Border Patrol checkpoint were in improved condition Sunday.

One man who was among the 18 injured when the truck overturned Saturday near Temecula, killing seven, was discharged to the care of a family member Sunday from Inland Valley California's Inland Valley is a region that inlcudes parts of San Bernadino, and Riverside counties. As the name implies, the Inland Valley is situated on the inland side of the Santa Ana Mountains in southern California. The crash occurred in unincorporated Riverside County after Border Patrol agents followed a stolen truck overloaded with illegal alien suspects.

At Riverside General Hospital, one victim's condition was upgraded from serious to stable, while three were in improving and stable condition, said nursing supervisor Rose Bonilla.

The conditions of four others - one critical and three stable - were unchanged, she said.
