INGENICA Launches UniPrint 6.0 and UniPrint for 64-Bit to Make Enterprise-Class Printing More Manageable Than Ever for Server-Based Computing Environments.

INGENICA Simplifies Printer-Driver Installation and Administration to Decrease Management Costs, Increase User Productivity, and Improve Network Performance

TORONTO -- INGENICA (www.INGENICA.net), the innovative leader in server-based printing solutions, today launched UniPrint[TM] 6.0 and UniPrint for 64-Bit. Specifically developed to eliminate the time and expense associated with managing different manufacturers' print drivers within a Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT MSFT Microsoft (stock symbol)

) or Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS CTXS Citrix Systems (NASDAQ stock ticker symbol) ) server-based environment, UniPrint 6.0 and the all-new UniPrint for 64-Bit environments have been priced to make enterprise-class printing functionality a cost-effective reality for any organization.

UniPrint 6.0's universal printer driver technology eliminates the need to install specific manufacturer's printer drivers, making it easy to print documents from any hosted application. By removing printer driver compatibility issues, UniPrint increases server stability, simplifies printer driver management, eliminates printer-related help-desk costs, and provides immediate productivity gains as users can now print to any available printer - in the office, at home, or at a remote site. UniPrint for 64-Bit provides the same printing advantages for organizations utilizing the more powerful servers and applications of today's 64-bit server-based environments.

UniPrint 6.0 and UniPrint for 64-Bit have been designed to simplify printer-driver installation and administration, while simultaneously improving network performance. Latest product enhancements include full Active Directory integration to make it simple to configure UniPrint settings using Group Policy, a new MSI MSI: see integrated circuit.

"And with the introduction of UniPrint for 64-Bit, INGENICA can now provide the same market-leading printing capabilities for today's more demanding 64-bit environments."

When printing, UniPrint creates a Portable Document Format (file format) Portable Document Format - (PDF) The native file format for Adobe Systems' Acrobat. To ensure data security, if the client device has a network printer defined, print jobs are automatically sent to the default printer. Also, as UniPrint's PDF files are significantly smaller than other printing formats, printer bandwidth utilization is reduced by over 90 percent - resulting in less work for the server, improved application performance, and faster, more efficient printing.
