ING, a Dutch insurance and banking group, sold its 49% stake in Mexican insurance company Seguros Bital to Grupo Financiero Bital, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings, for US$148 million. ING and Grupo Financiero Bital formed Seguros Bital as a joint venture in 1998.
