ING adds another high-profile tenant to Metropolitan Center roster.

Metropolitan Center welcomed a new anchor tenant in June when AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. moved into its 93,000 s/f headquarters there.

This addition comes at a time of positive transition at the landmark office tower, which is owned and managed by ING Clarion. During the last six months, the property has experienced a change in ownership, a new name and leasing agent, and enhanced amenities.

AEGIS, which specializes in insurance and risk management products and services for utility and related energy industries, relocated to Metropolitan Center from Jersey City, adding in excess of 20,000 s/f to its operations. More than 200 employees occupy the new space, which includes the building's entire fifth and fourth floors, as well as a portion of the third floor.

Metropolitan Center, recognized as the property with the Metromedia sign atop its facade, is a Class A property located on Route 3 at the New Jersey Turnpike, directly across from Giants Stadium. Earlier this year, ING Clarion purchased the 423,000 s/f, 15-story building and immediately named Cushman & Wakefield as its leasing agent.

The building currently is 88% leased.
