Vignette Corp. (Nasdaq:VIGN), the leading provider of integrated content management applications, today announced that ING E-Business Centre Netherlands (ING EBCN) will use Vignette's content management server to deliver personalized content from internal and external sources to the users of its current and future Internet portals in the Netherlands.

ING EBCN has developed several portals, such as the well-established Wellowell, an independent virtual financial advisor that enables consumers to explore and compare products and services -- such as mortgages, savings accounts and insurance offerings -- from many financial institutions in the Netherlands. ING EBCN also develops the horizontal portal of the Internet service provider Freeler, which enables people to find their way on the Web and offers content on a broad range of subjects, such as travel, money, music and gaming.

This will result in increased efficiency, deliver significant cost and time savings, and enable ING E-Business Centre to focus on its core business of creating profitable consumer portals.

ING EBCN cited the completeness and flexibility of Vignette's solution, together with its innovation and seamless integration with industry-standard enterprise technologies, as the key reasons for choosing Vignette. Furthermore, ING EBCN has had very good experiences with Vignette, including with its subsidiary Postbank, one of the largest financial service providers in the Netherlands.
