 INFINITI RELEASES MODEL YEAR SALES;
 SEPTEMBER SALES ESTABLISH MODEL-YEAR RECORD
 CARSON, Calif., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- For the third consecutive model year, Infiniti posted a sales increase with a 1992 model-year- end total of 39,955, up 7 percent over sales of 37,194 for the previous model year, according to figures released today by the luxury-car division of Nissan Motor Corp. in U.S.A.
 For the month of September, the division established a one-month model-year record with sales of 4,852, up 69 percent (daily selling rate) over sales of 2,757 for the corresponding period last year. Sales per dealer of 41 maintained Infiniti's position as a leader in the luxury-car segment.
 September sales were led by the 1993 J30 personal luxury sedan, which totalled 1,729. Sales of other Infiniti models included 1,623 Q45 performance luxury sedans, also a one-month, model-year sales record: 266 M30 luxury sports coupes (including 249 convertibles) and 1,234 G20 luxury sports sedans.
 "1992 has been a tremendous growth year for Infiniti," said William R. Bruce, Infiniti vice president and general manager. "We've added dealers, increased sales, and introduced the highly successful J30 personal luxury sedan. And we accomplished all this while leading the industry in quality and customer satisfaction as demonstrated by our high marks in all three of the major J.D. Power and Associates customer surveys, including a first-place finish in the 1992 Initial Quality Survey.'
 Sales for calendar-year 1992 totalled 33,654, up over last year's total of 28,589, an increase of 18 percent.
