Calumet Lubricants Calumet Lubricants is a privately-owned U.S.-based company, incorporated in 1916, which specializes in the manufacturing of naphthenic and paraffinic oils as well as aliphatic solvents and paraffin and microcrystalline waxes. , founded in 1916, produces high quality naphthenic specialty oils with state-of-the-art equipment and efficient operations. Calumet Lubricants is committed to statistical process control and comprehensive employee training to improve its products and services.

Calumet's Hydrocal II process is a state-of-the-art high-pressure hydrotreating process. Designed and developed specifically for specialty naphthenic lube oil production, the Hydrocal II process features a computerized, distributed control system A distributed control system (DCS) refers to a control system usually of a manufacturing system, process or any kind of dynamic system, in which the controller elements are not central in location (like the brain) but are distributed throughout the system with each component  for precision control of the multi-stage catalytic cat·a·lyt·ic

Hydrocal II oils are offered in a broad range of viscosities, from 36 SUS See Single UNIX Specification.  at 100 [degrees] F to 4,500 SUS at 100 [degrees] F. Caltech oils are technical grade white oils made from selected naphthenic base stocks exhibiting excellent low pour characteristics. Calsol naphthenic process oils are refined from a select blend of naphthenic crudes using the Hydrocal II process. Calsol oils provide compatibility with synthetic elastomers and their additives, and provide stability in color degradation and resistance to oxidation and aging.
