INDIANA MICHIGAN POWER TO REDEEM PREFERRED STOCK

 COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M), formerly Indiana & Michigan Electric Company, today announced that it will redeem on Dec. 19, 1993 all of the outstanding shares of its 8.68 percent cumulative preferred stock ($100 par value). This preferred stock will be redeemed at $101.80 per share plus a sum computed at the annual dividend rate of the series per share accrued from Oct. 1 to the redemption date.
 Notice is expected to be mailed to shareowners of record on or before Nov. 19, 1993. First Chicago Trust Company of New York is the redemption agent for this series of preferred stock.
 I&M, headquartered in Fort Wayne, Ind., is an operating electric utility subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. (NYSE: AEP).
