INDIAN VILLAGE PROJECT DEBUTS STUDENTS CREATE EARLY TRIBAL TOWN.

 from willow branches, cattails and canvas - officially opened Wednesday in a ceremony at North Hollywood High School North Hollywood High School, originally called Lankershim High School when it opened in 1927, is a secondary school in North Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. The school mascot is the husky, and the school colors are blue, white, grey. .

About 40 students who spent more than a year creating the village will now serve as docents to touring groups of elementary school elementary school: see school.  students, said Anahid Terrence, who secured a $5,000 city grant to fund the project. In return, the school had to provide an equivalent amount of volunteer labor.

``These students have gone way beyond that requirement,'' Terrence said. ``They have been hard-working, enthusiastic and just incredible.''
