IN HOME HEALTH TO ACQUIRE HOME CARE RESOURCES, HEALTH CARE RESOURCES AND HCR ASSOCIATES OPERATIONS IN NORFOLK AREA

 MINNETONKA, Minn., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- In Home Health, Inc. (NASDAQ: IHHI), has signed a letter of intent to acquire the ongoing businesses of Home Care Resources, Inc., Health Care Resources and HCR Associates, Inc. (HCR), it was announced today by Judy M. Figge, president and chief executive officer of In Home Health. The three home health companies have offices in Norfolk, Suffolk and Virginia Beach, Va. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
 "The acquisition of the three HCR businesses will represent In Home Health's entry into a third new geographic market in fiscal 1993," Ms. Figge said, "and will add three more offices to the 33 already in operation under the In Home Health banner. We anticipate further expansion into additional geographic markets later this year," she added.
 "Norfolk is the 28th largest metropolitan area in the United States and represents a further extension of In Home Health's presence on the Eastern seaboard, following last month's entrance into the Raleigh- Durham, N.C., market," Ms. Figge said.
 HCR has been providing home health services since 1986 and had revenues for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 1992, of $4.0 million.
 The Norfolk, Va., area will be the 16th geographic area in which In Home Health has established home care operations. In addition to Raleigh-Durham, it currently operates in 14 other U.S. metropolitan markets; Phoenix, Ariz.; Los Angeles and San Francisco, Calif.; Denver, Colo.; Chicago, Ill.; Detroit, Mich.; Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.; Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Dallas and Houston, Texas; and Seattle, Wash.
 In Home Health provides comprehensive quality health care services to people of all ages in their own homes. Home care is one of the fastest growth segments of the health care industry, currently estimated at $16 billion annually in the United States. It has grown at a compound annual growth rate of over 20 percent in the last ten years and is expected to triple in size by the year 2000, outperforming the growth of the overall health care market.
