Altermann art auction scheduled for August

Altermann Galleries will present almost

400 works of art in its Aug. 11 auction in Santa Fe. The event will be at Altermann's auction facility at 345 Camino del Monte Sol.

There will be a morning session at 10 (Lots 1-135) and an afternoon session at beginning at 2 (Lots 136-391). The auction will focus on moderately priced works including paintings, prints, photography, sculptures and indigenous artifacts from the Arctic Circle to Meso-America, as well as textiles and pottery, a statement said.

The cowboy and Indian subject matter section of the auction will include works by Kenneth Adams, Bill Anton and Christopher Blossom.

Daniella to be featured

Daniella Fox's store, Daniella, will be showcased on elle.com to represent New Mexico in an upcoming elle.com feature "50 States of Shopping."

Fox, who hails from New York City, says she brings an "East Coast edge along with an L.A. style and fashion flair" to her boutique, which opened in 2009 in the Market Station at the Railyard.

Latino small-business award nominations open

The entry period for the Annual Latino Small Business Series Awards presented by Verizon Wireless has started and will continue through Sept. 28.

Shell conference co-chair

Sandra Shell, principal at Barraclough & Associates, P.C. was a co-chair for the recent 2012 NACVA Annual Consultants' Conference in Dallas, one of the largest consultant conferences in the United States, an email said.
