T-BILL RATES MIXED: Interest rates on short-term Treasury securities were mixed in Monday's auction. The Treasury Department sold $7.25 billion in three-month bills at an average discount rate of 5.11 percent, down from 5.145 percent last week. An additional $7.29 billion was sold in six-month bills at an average rate of 5.195 percent, the same as last week.

LITTON GOES POSTAL: Woodland Hills-based Litton Industries said Monday it has won a contract worth up to $100 million to supply the U.S. Postal Service The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) processes and delivers mail to individuals and businesses within the United States. The service seeks to improve its performance through the development of efficient mail-handling systems and operates its own planning and engineering programs.  with management and information technology services. Litton already provides the services to the Postal Service, but the existing contract expires next year.
