VALLEY INDEX JUMPS: The Daily News/Bloomberg Index rose 0.87 to 115.09, led by Litton Industries Named after inventor Charles Litton Sr., Litton Industries was a large defense contractor in the United States, bought by the Northrop Grumman Corporation in 2001.  Inc. and Wellpoint Health Networks, both of Woodland Hills. Litton rose $2.1875 to $53.5625. Wellpoint rose $2.1875 to $60.25.

MEETING MINUTES: Woodland Hills-based Turbodyne Technologies Inc., a maker of anti-pollution equipment for cars and trucks, said at its annual meeting Friday that it will file suit against Asensio & Co., a New York-based investment house that last month said Turbodyne held worthless technology. The company also announced that two directors were re-elected to the company's board of directors and that the board approved an employee stock incentive plan at the meeting. Turbodyne shares closed down 25 cents at $6.
