SUN RISES: Sun Country Airlines, a former charter carrier, said Tuesday it has started offering scheduled, daily, nonstop service from Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn. One-way fares are $149.The airline's fleet includes DC-10-15s and 727-200s. Sun Country Airlines was established in 1983 and is headquartered in Mendota Heights, Minn.

DONE DEAL: Guitar Center Inc. announced Tuesday the completion of the previously announced merger with Musician's Friend Inc. in a stock-for-stock transaction. Agoura Hills-based Guitar Center issued nearly 2 million new shares to Musician's Friend shareholders and assumed about $18.4 million in debt for a total transaction value of about $48.3 million, based on Guitar Center's Friday closing stock price of $15.25.
