The company said no employees lost their jobs because of the move.

NEW CONTRACT: Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando-based provider of semiconductor testing equipment, has received $500,000 in orders from a U.S. maker of personal computers, printers and semiconductors. The equipment will be installed in the customer's Singapore facilities. Trio-Tech declined to identify the client, except to say it's a major technology company. The customer will use Trio-Tech's customized burn-in systems - which ``bakes'' information onto a computer chip - to test a new generation of opto-electronic components.

 Inc., an insurance plan administrator, will move to a new corporate headquarters being built in the 21400 block of Parkway Calabasas in Calabasas. The new facility is next to VPA's current headquarters. Construction of the 210,000-square-foot office project is scheduled to start in June.
