RECORD VOLUME: The Port of Los Angeles The Port of Los Angeles is located on San Pedro Bay in the San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles, approximately 20 miles (30 km) south of downtown. COMPANY SALE: Newbury Park-based Corlund Electronics Corp. has been acquired by Comtel Holdings Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition of Corlund, an electronic manufacturing services company, was completed Oct. 1. Bruce Bruce, Scottish royal family descended from an 11th-century Norman duke, Robert de Brus. He aided William I in his conquest of England (1066) and was given lands in England.  MacDonald, founder and chief executive officer of Corlund, will remain at the Ventura County site as its top official.
