International trade will continue to be a major growth engine for Southern California's economy this year, according to a report released Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. The report said the total value of two-way trade through the Los Angeles Customs District should increase 8.6 percent this year to $214.1 billion. Thanks to the continued economic recovery, trade with Asia should increase 6 percent to $70.6 billion.
