IN BRIEF: Cancer support group re-starts.A CARING support group for patients with bowel cancer will be meeting again in 2009.The group meets informally every quarter and is open to patients past and present. Colorectal nurse Sarah Carroll said the group had started again after a break due to the sad loss of the previous chairman, Brian Lewis Brian M. Lewis (born December 5, 1974) is an American athlete, winner of gold medal in 4x100 m relay at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Born in Sacramento, California, Brian Lewis played baseball (his father and uncle had played professional baseball) through his ninth grade, but who died of bowel cancer. The first meeting for 2009 will be held in the Holistic Centre at James Cook University hospital The James Cook University Hospital is a 1010 bed major tertiary hospital and district general hospital in Marton, Middlesbrough. It forms part of the South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust, along with the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton. on Thursday, March 5 from 2pm to 4pm.
