"Pink Sheets":IMSI), developer of design software including TurboCAD(R) and FloorPlan3D(R), and owner of ArtToday.com and Design.NET, Monday announced the release of Visual CADD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting) CAD systems with additional features for drafting, such as dimensioning and text entry.

CADD - Computer Aided Detector Design: a project to develop standards and methods to allow cooperation between HEP
version 4.0 high-performance 2D design and drafting software ideal for creating architectural drawings, technical schematics, and engineering diagrams.

Visual CADD is a highly productive software program designed to streamline 2D drafting and design. This lean, efficient program excels in fast execution, has an uncluttered interface and is packed with smart, intuitive tools and features. It is compatible with other industry standard programs including TurboCAD(R), AutoCAD(R), Generic CADD A full-featured CADD package for DOS, originally developed by Generic Software, Bothell, WA and then marketed by Autodesk, Inc., San Rafael, CA (www.autodesk.com). Offering levels for beginner, intermediate and advanced users, the software evolved into AutoCAD LT. , and GIS file formats A GIS file format is a standard of encoding geographical information into a file. They are created mainly by government mapping agencies (such as the USGS) or by GIS software developers.

Metadata often includes:

As a stand-alone application, Visual CADD creates precise drawings for handling real-world engineering or architectural projects. As a CAD development engine, it is a favorite among third party developers because its Open API Open API (often referred to as OpenAPI) is a word used to describe sets of technologies that enable websites to interact with each other by using SOAP, Javascript any other web technology.  (Application Programming Interface), which gives users the power to create, specialized spe·cial·ize

"Visual CADD has always focused on the user's ability to interact with the program quickly and easily in order to maximize productivity," said Rob Berry, IMSI's director of CAD. "Visual CADD version 4.0 offers performance enhancements through an abundance of new features and real-time commands, allowing users to create drawings even faster and more efficiently than before."

New to Visual CADD 4.0
-- Multi-Line tool includes up to 16 lines drawn at once, each with settings
for layer, color, line type and line width. Sixteen different Multi-Line Styles
can be saved and then applied at any time.

-- Printing Presets let users save all Print settings to a style. With only two
mouse clicks, users can quickly change between presets. This is a real
time-saver if you often print to different configurations or have more than one
printer on your system.

-- Advanced Ortho gives you several options to set additional angles to use
(beside the standard 0(Degree), 90(Degree), 180(Degree), and 270(Degree)) while
drawing with ortho constrained.

-- Enhanced Scripting language: more than 300 new native commands, covering all
Visual CADD settings, helps users automate their most frequent tasks.

-- Improved Generic CADD/AutoCAD import/export, including support for R2000
drawings.

-- Bearing Distance tools allow users to quickly develop site or plot plans by
typing in coordinates on the status line, then selecting the generated entities
to automatically place dimensions.

-- Preview window provides a view of a drawing without having to open the file.

-- Full Preview for the Print command allows users to drag a large drawing into
the print preview window and precisely select a part of it to be printed.

-- Several new dimensioning enhancements, including the ability to set each
dimension string with its own individual font.

-- Curved Leader and Datum commands.

-- Single Copy command allows users to quickly make a single copy of selected
objects.

-- Multi-Break command can be used to break any number of entities at once.

-- Divide command will mark lines, arcs and circles into equal segments. You
can elect to place points on the object, or to actually break it into separate
objects of equal length.

-- Line Scale command lets users control the scale of all non-solid lines in a
drawing.

-- Redesigned Symbol Manager takes up less room in the drawing area and
features several new enhancements.

-- Clean Data command removes 0 length entities that can sometimes cause
drawing corruption.

-- Font Display in all Visual CADD dialogs can now be sorted: alphabetical,
vector fonts at top of list, or TrueType fonts at top of list.

-- AutoSave your drawings at the interval you specify.

-- 100 new API calls to support the new features.

Visual CADD is available directly from IMSI for $495, or as an upgrade for $149. Corporate, government, and educational site licensing is available. For information call Direct Sales at 800/833-8082 or log-on to the IMSI Web site at www.imsisoft.com.

Developed by TriTools Partners

As a part of IMSI's new strategic plan and corporate restructuring restructuring - The transformation from one representation form to another at the same relative abstraction level, while preserving the subject system's external behaviour (functionality and semantics).  for future growth, IMSI has signed a licensing agreement with TriTools Partners to take over all future development of Visual CADD design and drafting software.

"Our agreement with TriTools Partners benefits both the product and our customers," said Kathleen Mountanos, VP of sales. "TriTools' combination of practical knowledge and ability to listen to and support users needs is coupled with a strong commitment to the program's long term life."

TriTools Partners have been involved with development of Visual CADD since version 3, and have also written popular 3rd party add-ons. Each of the partners has used Visual CADD for many years to create production drawings in various disciplines. They have also worked closely with other users, offering technical support to developers and providing tutorials and articles to the independent user group.
