The 16th Annual IMDHA IMDHA International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association  Conference opened with a welcome from Dr. Anne Spencer-Beacham, a special presentation of a new Vertigo Induction by Robert Otto, a rousing introduction of the keynote speaker by Dr. Jerome Beacham, and a relaxing, inspirational keynote speech keynote speech

Member of the Year is an IMDHA member who demonstrates over time by his/her personal commitment of time and energy that he/she supports the IMDHA goals and objectives. The award is presented in recognition of the above to a member who made a contribution of volunteer effort without regard for reward or special recognition and/or a member who has taken the time and effort to help create a positive environment in his/her state for all of its citizens.

Pen and Quill quill: see pen.  award is presented to an author who has published a work that includes Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy as a healing modality.

Educator of the Year is presented to an IMDHA Approved School ap·proved school

Team Player Award is presented to an IMDHA member who exemplifies great team spirit.

Pebble in the Pond In the Pond is a 1998 novel by Ha Jin, who has also written Under the Red Flag, Ocean of Winds, and Waiting. He has been praised for his works relating to Chinese life and culture.  is presented to an IMDHA member who has given unselfishly of him/herself without expecting recognition or rewards in return for the many hours of Hypnotherapy Hypnotherapy Definition

Hypnotherapy is the treatment of a variety of health conditions by hypnotism or by inducing prolonged sleep.

Pioneers in this field, such as James Braid and James Esdaile discovered that hypnosis could be used to
 service given to others.

Distinguished Service Award is presented to an IMDHA member for his/her diligence and determination; for willingness to work above and beyond the call of duty.

President's Award The President's Award may mean:
  • Gaisce - The President's Award, Republic of Ireland
  • NAACP Image Award - President's Award, United States
  • Rashtrapati Award - Award given by the President of India (Rashtrapati is Hindi for President)
 is given to an IMDHA member for Research and Development in the art and science of Hypnosis/ Hypnotherapy.

Fellow and Diplomat is awarded by vote of the designated committee. Specifics for nomination are given by request to the nominating committee A nominating committee is a group formed usually from inside the membership of an organization for the purpose of nominating candidates for office within the organization. It works similarly to an electoral college, the main difference being that the available candidates, either  president, Linda Cox, AZ Email: lcox22@earthlink.net
