Targeted at fleet operations, primarily in the U.S., eHighwayman.com will provide drivers with valuable information and secure online business applications. These easy-to-use online resources will simplify record keeping and improve communications with dispatchers. Plans call for drivers to access the portal via satellite and terrestrial links to PCs, which are increasingly becoming standard equipment on large trucks.

IMARK's portal will offer truck drivers critical information services See Information Systems.  such as driver safety data, road conditions, hazardous material regulations, and weather forecasts. It will also provide a variety of personal/entertainment content tailored to a community that travels for extended periods of time.

IMARK will use CA's Jasmineii eBusiness platform to add intelligence to a wide range of applications, content, Web sites, e-mail systems and other resources that make up eHighwayman.com.

"The eHighwayman portal is designed to provide truck drivers with a complete, one-stop fulfillment of their day-to-day information needs," said Donald Matheson, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "IMARK's eHighwayman portal is a dramatic example of how companies can use Jasmine(ii) and Neugents to provide innovative services to a well-targeted market," said Hayley Tabor, senior vice president, general manager of CA in Canada. "IMARK's forward-looking use of CA's Neugents technology will provide clear, sustainable competitive advantages over any would-be competitors who might try to duplicate their offering."

IMARK and CA are exploring the utilization of the extensive information sources available to fleet operators, dispatchers and drivers. One scenario under consideration is employing Neugents to assist in predicting the most efficient routes-those with the lowest fuel prices and fewest road hazards - for a trucker to take.
