IKOS Announces New Board Members; Jackson Hu, President and CEO of SiRF Technology and William Stevens, Founder of Triad Systems, Join the IKOS Board of Directors.


CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 1998--IKOS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:IKOS) today announced that it has added two new members to the Company's Board of Directors.

The new Directors are Jackson Jackson.

1 City (1990 pop. 37,446), seat of Jackson co., S Mich., on the Grand River; inc. 1857. It is an industrial and commercial center in a farm region.
 Hu, age 39, and William Stevens, age 57. IKOS also announced that Lutz Henckels has resigned from the IKOS Board of Directors, effective immediately. These changes bring the number of Board members to six.

Jackson Hu, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of SiRF Technology, Inc. has 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including all phases of development, marketing and management. Prior to SiRF, Hu was Senior Vice President and General Manager at S3, Inc., where he helped to grow the company from a start-up to a company with revenues of approximately $450 million.

In addition to architecting and managing the development of S3's venerable 2D GUI accelerator See graphics accelerator.  families, he also created an operations and quality infrastructure for very high volume production. Before S3, he held positions at Western Digital as Director of Graphics Engineering, at Verticom as Director of Engineering and at Zilog as a project leader.

William W. Stevens was a founder of Triad Systems Corporation and served as President and as Chairman of the Board from 1972 to 1985 and Chairman from 1985 to 1996. Prior to founding Triad, he was employed from 1961 to 1971 by Data Disk, Inc., a manufacturer of computer peripherals, where he served in various technical management positions including President. Stevens has served on numerous boards of both private and public companies.
