in the southeast business corridor. The TDM Award was accepted by Susan Auxer, senior vice president, human resources, of IHS Group, on March 16 at the SEBP's annual awards luncheon.

For an October 1999 relocation of over 500 employees from its downtown location to its Inverness campus, IHS worked with the SEBP and DRCOG DRCOG Denver Regional Council of Governments

RideArrangers to conduct a company-wide commute survey. The goal was to provide employees with a variety of commute options to ease the relocation process. The result was the implementation of incentives, including EcoPasses, a Guaranteed Ride Home program, subsidized dedicated van-pools, on-site showers and locker facilities, flex-time and a teleworking program. In addition to reducing commuter congestion, the new programs provide a competitive edge for recruiting and retaining employees in a competitive labor market labor market A place where labor is exchanged for wages; an LM is defined by geography, education and technical expertise, occupation, licensure or certification requirements, and job experience .

"Reducing the number of cars our employees take to work each morning and the number of vehicle miles traveled each day is not only good for the environment -- it clears up parking, reduces noise and is better for the long-term economic growth of the area," said Susan Auxer, senior vice president, human resources, IHS Group. "We will continue to push forward this initiative over the long term."

"IHS Group proved itself to be a leader in the initiative to reduce the number of single-occupant cars on our overcrowded o·ver·crowd
