A member of IFSEA since 1979, Laurel Schutter served the past year as chairman-elect, and has been on the international board of directors for several years, acting as central region director, central region vice president and international treasurer. A resident of Wildwood Wildwood, city (1990 pop. 4,484), Cape May co., SE N.J., on an island off Cape May; settled 1882, inc. as a city 1911. It has large commercial fisheries and is a popular summer seaside resort with many vintage motels and other buildings from the 1940s–60s. , Ill., near Chicago, she has been on the local board for many years, and served as branch president for the Northern Illinois Branch for two terms. Schutter served as a U.S. Army Connelly Team evaluator, and is the recipient of two IFSEA Distinguished Service Citations and two Chairman's Awards.

 at Condell Medical Center, Schutter has more than 28 years of healthcare food service management experience. She also is active and has served in several capacities in the American Society of Food Service Administrators and is past president of the Professional Women in Business Society. United Way of Lake County presented her with its outstanding service award, and Schutter plays an active role in the Libertyville Civic Center.

Chairman-elect Robert Mathews began his involvement with IFSEA as a hospitality curriculum student in 1972. Among his extensive contributions and achievements, Mathews served as international certification chairman, as a U.S. Army Connelly Team evaluator and member of Industry Advisory Committees.

Mathews was an International Student Branch chairman; Detroit Branch president, having served in all branch board positions; international director and Central Regional vice president; and has been chairman or a member of many branch and international committees. Mathews has been the recipient of 15 international awards, including the Peter Gust Economou and Chairman's Award.

International treasurer Colin Sendall, CFE, CBM, is a 27-year hospitality industry veteran, with 26 of those years dedicated to serving Peppermill/Western Village Hotel/Casinos. As food and beverage F&B is a common abbreviation in the United States and Commonwealth countries, including Hong Kong. F&B is typically the widely accepted abbreviation for "Food and Beverage," which is the sector/industry that specializes in the conceptualization, the making of, and delivery of foods.  director of Western Village, this native of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada oversees more than 20,000 meals every week in the facility's three restaurants, snack bar and employee cafeteria.

Sendall often was called upon to train opening management teams for Peppermill Restaurants throughout California and Colorado in the 1970s. A strong proponent and instructor in alcohol awareness for the past eight years, his responsibilities extend to four bars and lounges staffed by approximately 260 food and beverage employees.

Named to the Who's Who of Junior College Students of America, Sendall holds an associate degree from Truckee Meadows Community College Truckee Meadows Community College is a community college located in the U.S. state of Nevada primarily in the city of Reno. From 1971 to 1979 the college was known as Western Nevada Community College. . After attending the University of Nevada University of Nevada could refer to either of the universities in the Nevada System of Higher Education:

  • University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)
 Business College, he went on to teach food-related courses at the school. His IFSEA activities have included branch president, international director, Marine Corps traveler, certification chairman and Distinguished Service Citation recipient.
