IFS Adds the University of Arizona to its IFS Assist College Partnership Program.

After launching IFS Assist in Silicon Valley in October,

IFS is rapidly gaining momentum with its unique

"university partnership" program.

IFS North America Inc. Friday announced it will provide its most advanced business applications, IFS Applications 2001(TM) software, to the University of Arizona for use in the Eller College of Business and Public Administration.

The software implementation, part of the IFS Assist college partnership program, is expected to be the first of several joint projects between IFS and the University of Arizona.

Unlike other companies that donate only software, IFS provides universities with support services, training of instructors, and development of curriculum in addition to its software. The web-based IFS Applications software includes modules for e-commerce, financials, resource planning, and other business functions.

Dr. Bill Neumann, director of projects for the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) of the Eller College, commented, "Our partnership with IFS represents an exciting opportunity for our students to obtain hands-on experience with an advanced enterprise applications suite, and to see the strategic benefits corporations can realize for their operations.
