 Systems N.V. (Frankfurt:IFE Ife (ē`fā), city (1991 est. pop. 262,000), SW Nigeria. Located in a farm region, the city is an important center for marketing and shipping cacao. According to tradition, Ife is the oldest Yoruba town (founded c.1300). 1) expects to report a net profit of approximately US$4.9 million for Q3 2003 in comparison to US$3.6 million in Q3 2002, an increase of 38% year over year.

Sustainable cost management and an increase in revenues were the key factors for this result. For the first nine months of 2003, IFCO Systems N.V. expects to report a net profit of approximately US$8.0 million compared to a net loss of US$95.6 million in the same period of the previous year.

IFCO Systems N.V. will publish detailed figures for its third quarter 2003 on Nov. 4, 2003.
